Jointly produced by Beijing Dazhaimen Pictures, Jingju Theater Company of Beijing and How Young Production, Peking opera The Grand Mansion Gate brings about brand new cooperation model for newly renovated Peking opera merging with famous TV drama IP, prove to be yet another bold innovation in Peking opera marketing attempts.

Peking opera The Grand Mansion Gate paraphrases TV drama script of the same name, focusing on the period around year 1906. During which, Yang Jiuhong, prime courtesan from brothel in Jinan city clash into romance karma with Bai Jingqi, young master of herbal medicine family Baicaoting in Beijing. She redeemed herself to accompany Bai, confronted many unfairness, yet eventually rejected by the Grand Mansion Gate of Family Bai. In the end of the story, their hands were held for one last time, and their reunion remains untold by the destiny.
