The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is the leading classical music group, with its perfect artistic expression, profound historical heritage, and the incomparable international influence, the orchestra is famous in the world. It is not only the soul pillar of the world-renowned Vienna New Year's concert, but also is the permanent orchestra of the Austria flagship— Austria cultural Vienna State Opera. Over the past few centuries, it has preserved the noble artistic values and distinguished tastes of classical music and opera throughout the world. The orchestra was founded in 1842, co-founded by the Vienna Royal Opera conductor Otto Nikolai and Opera Orchestra musicians, then its "Vienna sound" quickly became difficult to follow, and the orchestra has become the only unrivaled in the world, it’s the world top class Orchestra without permanent command, but this did not hinder the conductor of the elite leaders come in a throng, and they are proud of collaborating with the orchestra. From Gustav Mahler, Richard Strauss, Wilhelm Furtwangler, to Hans Knapeltsbush, to Herbert von Karajan, Karl Bohm, Georg Solti, Leonard Bernstein, Carlos Kleiber, Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, till recent years’ Sir Simon Rattle, Christian Tielemann, Frantz Visser Moss, etc., all leaving mounts of precious records, classic images, and excellent reputation. Since 1941, the orchestra has been performing at its headquarter in Vienna Golden Hall for the Vienna New Year Concert. And with this event continuing  heating up in the global scope , the Vienna Philharmonic's international influence has reached an unprecedented height, being sought after by millions of audience worldwide. From the beginning of 1973, the band had been led by four conductors to visit China for six times, all had set off the extraordinary musical boom in domestic music. 

Andris Nelsons is the most talented command of the new generation, only in his age of 38 year-old now, he has already become an important figure in classical music, who might influence the future direction of the musical stage, and has been appreciated by the top symphony orchestras, operas and popular music festivals. Nelsons was born in 1978, in a musical family in Latvia, the capital of Riga,and learned from conductor Maris Jansons. He took over the Bermingham Symphony Orchestra in 2008 (left in 2015), and became the youngest music director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra during the one hundred years in 2014. In the past 7 years, this Latvia young man has rapidly grown into a new conductor which is in the hottest of the younger generation. In February 2018, he officially attended the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, and worked as the music director. Nelsons has maintained a long-term cooperation with the world top orchestras and super operas as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Amsterdam Concert Hall Orchestra, Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna State Opera, New York Metropolitan Opera, London's Royal Opera Orchestra. At the same time, he also holds the core command of the Bayreuth Opera Festival. After the death of conductor Abbado in 2014, it was Andris Nelsons who took over the command task in Lucerne Festival, he was also one of the most popular candidate for the Berlin Philharmonic's music director.In October 2017, the audience will witness the debut of this young master on the Chinese Concert stage.
