Arts experts and scholars from home and abroad will be invited to conduct in-depth exchange and discussion on the theme of “Arts Shape Perfect Personality”. At the same time, the theme of “Paying Respect to Masters” will be highlighted at the opportunity that this year is the 400th anniversary of the death of British play writer William Shakespeare and Chinese opera writer Tang Xianzu of the Ming Dynasty. Series of activities will be carried out in kindergartens, primary schools, middle schools and universities.

Arts Shape Perfect Personality: Arts Education Seminar

The theme of the arts education seminar is “Arts Shape Perfect Personality”. Experts in arts education from home and abroad will be invited to share their experience, observation and view on training of arts skills, comprehensive quality of arts and appreciation of humane arts. At the same time, Shirley Young, founder and the first president of the American organization Committee of 100, will also be invited to share her exploration of arts education.

Campus Tour

The annual activity of Campus Tour, launched four years ago, will continue to provide driving forces for campus culture development and student arts education. This year, renowned artists and groups from home and abroad in fields of music, dance, drama, opera, traditional and local arts will be invited to share their performance and experience in forms of guidance, discussion, lecture, exchange, and visit around various campuses in Shanghai.

Paying Respect to Masters: Drama Education Practice

The activity of Drama Education Practice will focus on the theme of “Paying Respect to Masters” and will be presented in various forms including exhibition of excellent works, campus arts performance, and theatre arts performance, aiming to stimulate the students’enthusiasm for drama arts, develop their appreciation for classic arts works, and cultivate their quality in arts.

Paying Respect to Masters: Drama Carnival

The activity Drama Carnival contains three parts including “My Drama Dream-Drama Experience”, “Face-to-Face with Masters-Drama Workshop” and “Our Drama Stage-Performance of Quality Dramas”, and pay respect to masters through special programs with echoing between on-site and off-site, interaction between masters and children, and combination between performance and experience. Among them, the Performance of Quality Dramas will feature selected programs from hundreds of schools to showcase students experience and appreciation, and participation and edification through the drama arts education.
