It’s not the first time that Northern Kunqu Opera Theatre has made "Victory on Luding Bridge" a piece on Kunqu Opera stage as its traditional and classical repertoire. Back in 1960s, the artists of northern Kunqu created a Kunqu Opera Victory on Luding Bridge, and afterwards revived it in 1980s and at the beginning of new century. Though sharing the same title Victory on Luding Bridge, the new piece is actually a brand new Kunqu Opera work compared to the former.

In addition, as an artistic work themed in revolution, Kunqu Opera Victory on Luding Bridge will be presented in a younger and more fashionable way. It leads to an artistic creation with the spirit of Long March by Red Army, as well as pays tribute to heroic martyrs’ efforts and the great dreams.
