This year, Shanghai International Comedy Festival will invite the top comedy troupes from different countries and regions, including Italy, Germany, the United States, Britain, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. This festival will feature more diversified comedy genres with three major categories of  ‘International Classic’, ‘China Original’ and ‘Interactive joy’. The audiences will be able to enjoy the interactive joy of comedy stagecraft as well as enjoy the classic comedies home and abroad. 

The opening show of this Comedy Festival will be theinvite classical comedy As You Like It by The Italian National Theatre of Torino, performing in Shanghai Oriental Art Center on November 8. In addition, the large classic comedy The Stage staredacted by Chen Peisi will be the closing show, performing in Majestic Theatre.
