The parallel session in Wuxi in Jiangsu Province will adhere to the tenet of “A Festival of Arts, A Gala for All” of Shanghai International Arts Festival and follow the principles of “introducing elegant stage programs, facilitating development of local arts and showcasing cultural classics” to carry out various activities such as performance of classic works, square arts performance, civil culture performance, arts exhibition, arts fair etc. During the duration of about 15 days, the session in Wuxi will present cultural activities featuring diversities, benefits to the people, creativity and classic works.

The session in Wuxi will last about 15 days, and will present a feast of arts with cultural diversities, multiple genres and quality visions for the audience by focusing on the three major sections including performance of classic stage works, civil cultural activities and arts exhibition.

The session in Wuxi will closely collaborate with the host festival in Shanghai and offer performances with international visions, high quality arts works and unique local features to make the festival for the people.

The opening performance by Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the top orchestras in the Arab world, will present the audience a special night full of dream and enthusiasm. In addition, quality performances from home and abroad such as concert by British Trinity Boys Choir, stage drama Ruan Lingyu by Hong Kong Perry Chiu Experimental Theatre, the Divine Comedy by Italian NoGravity Dance Company, and concert by British Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will also be put on during the session in Wuxi to bring benefits to the people.
