The parallel session in Ningbo will follow the tenet of “A Festival of Arts, A Gala for All” of Shanghai International Arts Festival and adhere to the principles of “introducing elegant stage programs, facilitating development of local arts and showcasing cultural classics” to carry out various activities such as performance of classic works, square arts performance, civil culture performance, arts exhibition, arts fair etc. During the duration of about 20 days, the session in Ningbo will present cultural activities featuring diversities, benefits to the people, creativity and classic works.

The session in Ningbo will focus on three major parts including performance of classic stage works, civil cultural activities and arts exhibition, and will present a feast of arts with cultural diversities, multiple genres and quality visions for the audience.

The session in Ningbo will closely collaborate with the host festival in Shanghai and offer performances with international visions, high quality arts works and unique local features to meet the goal of “Making Culture Beneficial to the People”.

Dance by Tap Factory will open the session in Ningbo. Concert by British Trinity Boys Choir will bring the sounds of the nature. The Divine Comedy by Italian NoGravity Dance Company will stage a magic dance in the air. Drama Beijing Fayuan Temple by National Theatre of China will take the audience back to the reform period of the Qing Dynasty to appreciate the styles and demeanors of the national heroes. Series of programs will present the public the very beauty of arts.
