As an essential part of China Shanghai International Arts Festival (CSIAF),the annually held China Shanghai International Arts Festival Forums, not only presents cutting-edge concepts and resounding practices, but also provide a professional platform for promoting domestic cultural development and boosting worldwide cultural exchange and collaboration. It is a significant gathering for experts officials and policy makers, artists and intellectuals both at home and abroad to enhance communication and mutual understanding as well as to discuss about issues regarding cultural and social development.

The theme of the 18th CSIAF Forums is “Diversity, Vitality and Community of Culture and Arts”. It includes one theme forum, five sub-forums and one workshop, which are to be held from October 12th to 26th. Based on the foundation of network of arts festivals’ cooperation and development along the Silk Road, the theme forum will aim pragmatically at topics of development, communication and cooperation of abundant cultural resources the “One Belt, One Road” countries, explore the positive influence they could exert on the world’s culture. The forum series will focus on the trend of international and interior arts development, accumulating various high-end arts resources, sharing the practice and experience of arts innovation in forms, and exploring the development of city culture and popularization of arts education. By cooperating with various third-party organizations, the Forums will cover many fields of culture and arts, inherit the classic and look beyond the future.
