Indian tradition of handwoven textiles, with its incredible range of colour, texture and design, has, for milleniums, been one the most defining and visually striking elements of the Indian persona. As the quintessential expression of the weavers' imagination, talent and skill, the Sari continues to be the jewel of the Indian handloom industry.

Each Sari is a unique extension of the weavers' own body: their fingers and arms are both the tools and the measuring sticks used during its creation. Through the art of draping, a woman in turn reveals her demeanour and her regional identity. This union of the Sari and the wearer exudes the sensuality of dance. What begins in the weavers' hands culminates in a personal and sensuous experience for the wearer, the Indian woman's visual identity, her second skin.

“SARI”is a celebration of the creation of this unique drape, in constant play with the body, both in stillness and in movement.
