With the aim of improving various institutions’ capability in operating art festivals and enhancing international exchanges of Chinese performing industry, the Workshop on Arts Festival Planning & Operation, hosted by the Bureau for External Culture Relations, Ministry of Culture, P.R.China and organized by the Center for China Shanghai International Arts Festival, will be held during the 17th China Shanghai International Arts Festival from Oct.15th to Oct.18th,2015.

After the success of the first ‘The Organization Structure and Operating Model of Arts Festivals ’ and “The Innovation of Arts Festivals” workshops in 2014, this year’s workshop will scale up to four-day’s training courses—including two lectures, four practice courses and three performances. Directors of Edinburgh International Festival, European Festival Association and Hong Kong Arts Festival will be invited as lecturers to share their valuable knowledge and experiences. 30-40 festival organizers are expected to take part in the workshop.
