ChinaSPAF - Pitch Session: Going to Mainland China! & Online Video Upload System
ChinaSPAF aims to build the best platform of performing arts in China that can not only introduce new Chinese works but also provide a channel for the delegates to seek potential cooperation opportunities.
For delegates who are looking for a channel to bring their project to Chinese professionals and audience, there are two ways that might be helpful:
I.Pitch Session: Going to Mainland China!
Inspired by the programme of Pitch New Work Now, ISPA, Going to China! is a pitch session designed for new international projects heading for Chinese market. Below is the process:
●Step 1: Registration at the ChinaSPAF 2015
●Step 2: Application Submission
●Step 3: Selection by Arts Panel (which consists of 8-10 major venue presenters in China)
●Step 4: 10 Winners’Video Presentation on 15 October 2015
All Chinese delegates of ChinaSPAF2015 including major presenters from different parts of China will be able to review the projects on the website. According to the past experience, it’s very possible that foreign delegates can get into touch with potential Chinese partner who has great interest in their project during this process.
Part of the past successful cases:
Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake
13 performances at Shanghai Culture Square
Sept. & Oct. 2014
Spectacular live show Fuerzabruta from Argentina
About 100 performances during the China tour
2014
Acappella Group The Magnets, UK
China tour in more than 13 cities
2014 & 2015
Beyond Time by U Theater from Taiwan
2 performances at Shanghai Culture Square
Jun. 2015
II.Online Video Upload System on the ChinaSPAF Official Website
This year, all ChinaSPAF delegates will be entitled to upload 3-5 projects to the ChinaSPAF official website, making it possible to share their works to a wide range of Chinese professionals in a most effective way.
Any Chinese delegates who appreciate a project can click “Like”. So the foreign delegates are very likely to find the first group of Chinese fans of their project among them, which would help bring their project to Mainland China.
