Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra is an orchestra for citizen concert with the longest history in the world. The 1970s witnessed the first performance of the complete works of Bruckner and Shostakovich by Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra that employs outstanding music inspectors, for instance, Mendelssohn, Nicky Xu, Ford Furtwangler, and Walter. Since September 2005, Riccardo Chailly became one of them in Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra.
