Jing & Kun Opera Highlights Jing & Kun Opera Highlights, mainly consisting of Wulong Yuan, is presented by Hong Kong Jing & Kun Opera Theatre and Shanghai Youth Kunju Opera Troupe. The Peking opera Wulong Yuan is a new adaptation from the story of "Songjiang Executing Xi" in "Water Margins" by employment of traditional techniques and contemporary ideas. In 2007, Hong Kong Jing & Kun Opera Theatre won two significant awards "Judge Special Award" and "Best Actor Award" in the 3rd "Chinese Opera Festival in Paris", France. Peking Opera Yandangshan Mountain tells the story in Sui Dynasty of General Menghaigong's success in defeating all of his enemies at Yanlinguan while Kunju Opera Hujiazhuang depicts the story in Song Dynasty that with the help of Ms. Sanniang Hu, daughter of the master of Hujiazhuang, Song Jiang successfully captured his enemy Wang Ying after a thorough fight with heroes from Liangshan Mountain. Peking Opera Ms. You••Wingding and Kunqu Opera Peony Pavilion••Dream-Seeking are new adaptations respectively from the Chinese canonized works A Dream of the Red Mansions and Peony Pavilion.
